Technical Program Leader · Release Management
Saurabh Bhatia
I lead teams that deliver digital products at scale. 11+ years delivering for Amazon, Google, and startups — building governance frameworks and coordinating complex rollouts across global organisations.

Who I Am
I'm a program leader who's spent the last decade in the trenches of complex delivery. I've orchestrated software rollouts across 150+ Amazon fulfilment centres, driven compliance programs at Google, and built release governance frameworks from scratch. I've learned that the hardest part of delivery isn't the technology — it's the coordination, the communication, and the clarity.
I write here to share what works. Not theory — the actual frameworks, processes, and decision-making approaches that make delivery predictable. If something resonates or challenges my thinking, I'd like to hear it.
How I Lead
Governance Over Chaos
I build release frameworks that scale — from code freeze processes to deployment governance. Structure enables speed, not bureaucracy.
Data Over Opinion
Decisions should be evidence-based. I use metrics to validate assumptions, measure progress, and refine processes.
Influence Over Authority
I lead through clarity, not hierarchy. When everyone understands the why, the how follows.
Results Over Activity
Shipping isn't enough — shipping the right thing matters. I focus on outcomes, not output.
What I've Learned
After a decade of leading delivery, a few things have stuck:
- →Successful delivery requires understanding every function deeply — not just coordinating between them.
- →The best processes are the ones teams actually follow. Design for adoption, not perfection.
- →Complexity is inevitable. Clarity is a choice. Leaders make complexity simple.
- →Every retrospective is a chance to get better. The teams that learn fastest, win.
What I Write About
This blog is organized around the building blocks, frameworks, and disciplines for delivering digital products. Each journey covers a different aspect of the delivery lifecycle.
Technical Concepts
The building blocks you need to understand — networking, architecture, databases, and the systems that power digital products.
Decision Frameworks
How to think through hard problems — frameworks for ambiguity, trade-offs, and making decisions that hold up.
AI in Practice
Using AI to deliver products — decision frameworks, integration patterns, and practical applications from the field.
Delivery Discipline
From concept to production — how to ship, scale, and maintain digital products that work.
Exploration
Hands-on tutorials and practical guides — learn by doing with real-world tools and workflows.
Reflections
Lessons from the field — insights about shipping, leading teams, and building things that work.
